style journey - month 5 or 6?
Oct. 7th, 2021 01:29 amI haven't made much progress, this is just a post to keep myself on track and responsible.
1. Guest bedroom: still in the same state as before, haven't put away the cat painting or fixed the curtains, but now carpet needs extra vacuuming after my friends stayed for the weekend.
2. The front entry way: I planted a rose of sharon bush (not rose), which is actually an evergreen hibiscus. The monkey grass situation is still the same because ants have arrived on the scene, making it dangerous to dig up the grass, although I did try to neaten it whenever I got the chance. Unfortunately the hook for my wreath fell down in the humidity of a storm, so I have to stick up a new hook or get a wreath hanger for my wreaths. Still have to donate/sell some stuff! I also want to finish printing out photos so I can hang up a temporary gallery wall in the front hall, or maybe this white wooden rose medallion I got at Tuesday morning. Those are hanging out on the dining room table in the next bullet point...
4. Dining room: the curtain rod fell again, so I have to look up a better way to keep the screws in the wall. The tools and anime merch are still there lol. No other plans to add decorations or fix things, although I did buy a few Halloween related items at Daiso and Target and Michaels.
5. Mudroom and laundry room: no progress there either. The weather has cooled down significantly, high of 80 instead of 100, so I can't use the heat as an excuse to not clean. I will try to do the laundry room, the smallest of those rooms by the end of the month since I will have a staycation then. No excuses anymore!
