I'm having a heck of a time with these accountability posts, lol. December was busy due to the holidays, but we canceled our swim classes so my weekends are a little more free again until February or March, depending on this omicron surge. My latest obsession is cleaning sink faucets with vinegar in a ziplock bag, it is just so satisfying watching all that gunk and buildup dissolve. I can't believe how much gunk builds up on the faucet, like how???

1. Guest bedroom: I have yet to fix the curtains or clean the closet, and still need to put away some decorations and random storage boxes, but I am moving on from this room and its bathroom/closet for now. It's tolerably clean for guests and that's all that's needed.

2. The front entry way: I still haven't made my gallery wall because I hate having to hammer holes in the walls especially if I change my mind later which is very likely. I have a phobia to commitment and decision-making, lol. I will try to print some photos before the end of the month though and also attempt donating/selling the big box of donatables.

4. Dining room: curtains/tools/merch still need to be fixed and tidied, and now I have to put away the tiny Christmas tree and curtain photo backdrop lol. My other project is working an a silk flower arrangement once I find the perfect vase, but that's not important or urgent.

5. Mudroom and laundry room: While I didn't do much cleaning in these specific areas, I am tidying up the rest of the house, which will eventually address the junk collecting in these two areas. I would like to sort through the mail before Chinese New Year at least.

6. Office/craft room: I want to work on this area last, but something I've been keeping in mind is trying to keep items in the same category together. This is where I want to keep all my arts and crafts and costumes. Is that possible? We shall see.

7. Kitchen: another problem area that I will leave second to last. I cook a lot and don't trust my dishwasher, so it gets messy quickly. But I sorted out my tea area again after getting even more tea pots and tea stuff

8. Home office: this has my art/gaming PC, which I want to redecorate and upgrade after seeing inspiration posts on Instagram lol. Waiting for parts and furniture to come in next week, very excited to rearrange this area for maximum aesthetic and productivity... I bought and want to buy a lot of pink gamer girl stuff, but I also want to keep the old-timey cottagecore grandma-kei vibe due to the traditional cabinets and granite desktop. Not sure I can combine those 2 different aesthetics, but that's a problem for future me.

9. Living Room: I want to hang up some more prints and artwork but custom frames are expensive and again, I don't want to hammer holes in the wall. This room has the Bohemian/Asian vibe. I moved a small plant shelf here to catch some sun and it looks nice. I may add some LEDs to the TV for backlighting but going to see if I want to add LEDs to my computer first or to backlight some acrylic prints I bought. Or I can just buy more LEDs I guess...

10. Master bedroom/closet: a continuous work in progress, but I tidied up my vanity and moved my nail stuff and extra skincare and makeup to a shelf nearby so everything is all in one place. I reorganized my jewelry and hair stuff armoire and tried to make a little merch and media area with book shelves from Target and Ikea. But I still am indecisive how to display excess merch. I want to keep almost all my merch in my bedroom, not my office or living room, due to not wanting the general living areas where my family might drop in to be full of merch and look messy or weeby. But then that means my bedroom would be full of visual clutter. I don't hang a lot of prints of people/characters in this room for that reason (only my 2 Jeanne d'Arc prints).

In my last post, I mentioned making a sunroom/conservatory area in my breakfast nook area of my kitchen. And I actually did make progress on this! My brother and friend got me some plant shelves to add to the 2 I bought from Pier Imports and Ikea and it looks not bad at all! I hung up some plant related art prints I got from artists at cons and through Etsy in the kitchen area. I would like to buy better seedling propagation items and get more houseplants to complete the jungle crazy plant lady look.
