I forgot to post for March and April, both those months I was on vacation for a week and uhh... my brain got smooth. But some changes! Just gotta keep up this energy for May.
1. Guestroom/bathroom/front entryway: still no updates since February
2. Dining room: no updates or changes, but I got ants again, so I really need to look into that.
5. Mudroom and laundry room: also no changes, my bad.
6. Office/craft room: one change! I nailed a little spice rack from Ikea over my desk and put my buttons into the spice jars. I also tied a key holder to the rack so I can hang my scissors. Unfortunately while cleaning my desk, I moved my other sewing supplies around or set them on the floor so it's still as messy as before. But at least I am not losing track of my scissors?
7. Kitchen: I cleaned around my tea/cup area and replaced the cupboard liners (which I didn't know you were supposed to do periodically) with a nice thick grey marble padded liner from Lowe's. Still need to clean/replace liners for the pantry and other cupboards, deep clean the fridge and stove, take out recycling, take out the dead herbs I was trying to grow. I did replace 4 dead ceiling lights, though!
8. Home office: I finally got all my parts for gamer-hag setup! I nailed a cheap shelf from Target to hold some fake flowers and Pokemon merch, added vines to the cord for my Ikea paper star light for a cottage core look. I moved my pig painting over so I can look at my friends' art while on the computer, put a fandom poster where it used to hang, then hung/displayed more decoration (Inosuke from Demon Slayer, My Melody) all around. I bought a My Melody cable organizer for cable management and put my monitor on a pink monitor stand, consolidated random tech stuff into a repurposed basket container. Speakers replaced, pink bunny phone stand purchased, printer wheely cart bought and printer moved away, then I added light fixtures and fake flowers added for a spring time sakura look. I still haven't put back all of my paperwork that used to be stored here, but I did cram all of my tabling/artist alley merch into a storage bin for now, leaving out only current projects. Still to do: get a functioning file cabinet system (the filing cabinet that came with the house does not actually hold hanging folders!), consolidate my projects onto my wheely cart.
9. Living Room: the LEDs did not stick to my TV lol... I hung up some more Asian prints to match the plant vibe going on in the kitchen, had to buy odd-shaped frames at Michaels and Target for them. The biggest change here is my mom brought my old brown leather couch to her house and we purchased a new white/grey chenille chaise couch to match my decor better. The old loveseat is still there though lol. Half of the houseplants are thriving on their shelves here and in the kitchen, the other half died within weeks (also didn't help I was out of town for 6 days).
10. Master bedroom/closet: no updates since February. I tried to construct a canopy with sheer gold-foil-decorated curtains to hang flowers and lights from for a cozy fairycore look, but was too lazy to nail the hook into the ceiling over my bed.
